Does Callward upload my contacts?
Never. Contacts are read on your device only, to recognise known callers. Nothing is uploaded to any server, and there are no accounts.
Will it block spam and scam calls?
Yes. In “Only my contacts” mode, anyone who isn’t a saved contact is blocked silently — including spam, scams, and withheld numbers.
What about calls I actually want from unknown numbers?
Add specific numbers to your always-allow list (a doctor, a delivery, a new job) and they’ll always ring, even in contacts-only mode.
Are emergency calls ever blocked?
